Resurrecting Orthodoxy is TEN Years Old

Two days ago, July 19th, marked the ten-year anniversary of my starting up this blog. When I started the blog, the bulk of my posts for the first few years had to do with Ken Ham, Answers in Genesis, and the Young Earth Creation movement as a whole. In fact, much what I wrote served as “rough drafts” of many things that are in my book, The Heresy of Ham.

In addition to that subject, I also have done numerous book reviews and “book analysis series,” posts specifically about Biblical Studies topics, posts about literature, as well as occasional posts about social, cultural issues. Sprinkled in among all those kinds of posts have been many miscellaneous posts on things that just happened to interest me at the time. Interestingly enough, here are my Top Five Posts of all time:

1. C.S. Lewis and Mere Christianity: The Trinity

2. “The Wasteland” by T.S. Eliot: A Reading and Explanation

3. “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” by T.S. Eliot: Some Thoughts and a Reading

4. The Genre, Historical Context, and Purpose of Genesis 1-11

5. Biblical Intertextuality: Jonah in Moby Dick (Father Mapple’s Sermon): Part 2

In any case, in addition to these posts, I thought it might be interesting to link the first post in the various series I’ve done over the years, as well as some particular “stand out/stand alone” posts. Perhaps you are relatively new to this blog and haven’t explored all the past topics I’ve covered, so feel free to do some exploring! With each of the following posts, you can navigate to the succeeding posts by just hitting the “next post” button at the bottom. Or you can just type in the topic or person I’m discussing in the navigation box and find the other posts in the series. Next to each post I’m including the number in the series.

  1. Happy Anniversary! I enjoy reading your book reviews; among the handful that I read, I especially like Francesca Stavrakopoulou’s book where you employed what you learned about OT literature at Regent as a counter narrative. Keep up the good work!
